A Prayer For Lamar Odom

To the Odom Family,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your child. I offer my deepest condolences and I pray that the Lord will keep you uplifted during these most trying of times.

When you came to the Laker Organization, you inherited a nation of brothers and sisters who bleed Purple and Gold. I think I am safe in speaking for the entire Laker Family extended, when tell you that we grieve along with you. The spiritual arms of millions of Lakers around the world embrace you at this moment. I pray you find peace. Amen.

Los Angeles Lakers player Lamar Odom's 6 1/2-month-old son has died, a spokesman for the team said Thursday. Jayden Odom died Wednesday night, apparently suffocating while sleeping in his crib in New York, according to John Black.

"Lamar is very distraught," Black said. "Both he and the baby's mother are asking that people respect their privacy at this time."
